About us

Wedding Essentials have been arranging destination weddings on the net since 1997. We are experts in finding the right place for all our clients including sunrise and sunset weddings in many areas of New Zealand. Situated on the shores of Lake Taupo Wedding Essentials have arranged weddings in New Zealand from the Bay of Islands in the North Island to Ruby Island on Lake Wanaka in the South Island.

There are some beautiful places for a wedding ceremony either among the roses in a garden or on the lake or sea shore. With the sacred peaks of the central north island mountains as a backdrop for your ceremony and photographs. You can marry on the snow on those magical peaks. If you wish you can marry at our home base of Kahotea House where it will be our pleasure to spoil and pamper you.

Wedding Essentials can also suggest or find the location of your choice and design a package especially for you. No wedding is ever the same as another, as each individual has specific ideas on how their ceremony and what the venue should be. It is the stuff of dreams. Wedding Essentials will do all they can to make your dreams come true.

We will arrange your dream destination wedding:

Documentation
Ceremony venue
Celebration venue of your wedding (Wedding luncheon or dinner depending on the time of day you choose to have your ceremony)
Courier of Marriage and Apostille Certificates to your home country address.
The Celebrant (civil celebrant or priest/minister/pastor.)
Photography - A professional photographer or you can choose to have an expert use your digital camera, the disc is yours to take with you.
Bridal transport if required.
Flowers (you choose what type of flowers and their colour.)
Cake with complimentary wine.

Once you become our valued client we will work together via the net to understand your needs. Develop your customised plan through to meeting you when you arrive. Assisting you while you are in New Zealand, covering your wedding day and making sure you have a contact should you need one during your stay in New Zealand.
